Egyptian Chicken Rice

Rice with chicken filets and grated carrot

Egyptian Chicken Rice

Ingredients:

500g Chicken Filets, diced
1 1/2 Cup Rice, rinsed
2 Carrots, grated
1 Medium Onion, finely chopped
2-3 Garlic Cloves, crushed
Salt and Pepper to taste
Vegetable Oil

Method:

  1. Sauté the chicken and carrot in vegetable oil.
  2. Add onion, sauté a little more then add the garlic.
  3. Then place the chicken with vegetables into the baking pan.
  4. Add rice, salt, pepper then add water, so it will cover the rice approximately 2-3cm.
  5. Bake in the oven at 200c for 40-50 minutes.
  6. Serve hot.
