Lebanese Date Balls

Lebanese date, coconut and sesame seeds balls

Lebanese Date Balls

Ingredients:

2-1/2 Cups Dates, pitted
10 Tea Biscuits, crumbled by hand
1/2 Cup Shredded Coconut
4 Tblsp Unsalted Butter
3 Tblsp Sesame Seeds
1 Tsp Ground Cardamom

Method:

  1. In a medium bowl add dates, tea biscuits, coconut, sesame seeds and cardamom then mix well to form a sticky dough.
  2. In a large frying pan on medium heat melt the butter then add the date dough, mix to cook for approximately 5 minutes.
  3. Carefully make mixture into small balls the size of golf balls.
  4. Place the balls on a serving plate then place in the fridge for 1 hour to set then serve.
