Turkish mushroom rice

Rice cooked with mushroom, onion and glarlic

Turkish mushroom rice

Ingredients:

2250g portabellas mushrooms, cleaned, sliced
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 clove glarlic, crushed
3 tablesp extra virgin olive oil
2 tablesp rice, rinsed, drained
1/4 cup water
Pinch of salt

Method:

  1. Sauté the onion with olive oil for about 2 minutes in a small pot, than add the rest of the ingredients and cover.
  2. Cook for about 20 minutes on low heat until the rice is cooked.
  3. Let it rest for about 5 minutes then serve.
