Ingredients:
3 Large Onion, roughly chopped
3 Garlic Cloves, crushed
1 1/2 Litres of water
Tblsp Olive Oil
1 Tsp Ground Cumin
1 Tsp Cumin Seed
1 Tsp Ground Cardamom
1 Tsp Ground Coriander
1 Tsp Dried Basil Flakes
1 Tsp Dried Oregano Flakes
2 Bay leaves
Salt and Pepper to taste
1 Tsp Dried Chilli Flakes
Juice of 1/2 Lemon
Method:
- In large frying heat the oil then sauté the onions and garlic until golden.
- Transfer the onions and garlic to a large saucepan, add water and all the other ingredients then bring to a boil.
- Simmer covered on a medium to low heat for 20-30 minutes.
- Squeeze in lemon juice then serve hot.
