Cinnamon has been used in Egypt as early as 2000 BC, it was believed to have come from China.

Cinnamon is commonly used right throughout the Middle East and is in fact an important part of Middle Eastern cooking. It is widely used from Turkey to Morocco and is used in savoury to sweets dishes as well as beverages.

 Almond Balls
 Pastry balls stuffed with almonds, cinnamon and orange flower water

 Lamb Mansaf
 Jordanian spicy yogurt lamb on rice dish
